I heard a friend’s wallet was stolen and he tried to chase the guy but the guy jumped over the railing into the Chicago river, but landed in a get-a-way boat so he called his wife up in the apartment and she was able to see which direction they headed, but they still got away because their boat morphed into submarine. I think this is just a made up story, but we do need to be careful these days about the pick pocket.

Some fine little plants will be arriving at our rive dell on Saturday. I will need some volunteers to help me to plant them. There will be less than 350 plants, so hopefully I’ll have enough to go around. I’ll have a shelter setup and the fire going, its usually a nice day anyway. Lots of drinks and food will be in the coolers. Families and friends, let me know by Friday please.

I’ll have the ground tilled up and ready so we’ll just need to dig a little hole, spear the bottom and sides of the holes with pitchforks to aerate the soil, lay the plant in there, drop soil around it, water it and over with mulch.

I had a short vivid dream this morning where I came face-to-face with some of my fears. I went to visit a potential girlfriend for the 1st time at her home. She was living in a dorm room with a roommate. She was not particularly beautiful but she seemed healthy and nice. We talked a bit about various things which are difficult to remember, I think running and school mostly… I was a bit nervous all the while. She showed me around and introduced me to her pets - some birds and a kitten. She was showing them to me and I kept trying to open my eyes but I could barely open them. I would only get glimpses now and then. Then she said something and left the house and I got the impression I should follow her. So put on my shoes but did not take time to tie them and went out to find her. I saw all my
bags on the stairway. So I tried to pick them all up and carry them back to my car. She stopped me and said she was moving them up to her place. I was a bit uneasy about this and then she ran off again. I went down to the gym/pool and she was stretching and getting ready to run. I still had to
tie my shoes and I still had trouble seeing. I said a few things that were not interesting. She ran off again and 2 college boys started making fun of me and somehow I ended up being upside down and still blind and a little nervous, so I started humming an singing a song and I was happy again, and
they all just laughed. Then i woke up.

Neighbor, Rick Beecham waived and wished us well. We are very excited to be actually starting the trip! We can’t believe the day is finally here. Eric is accompanying us for the first day. We will leave our Suburban at Spring Brook Marina, Seneca, Illinois. Kristine will drive another car to Henry later in the day and spend the night. Kristine and Eric will pick up the suburban in Spring Brook Sunday on their way home. Made a quick stop at Jewel in Morris to pick up groceries while Al drove to Dunkin Donut for coffee +. Eric picked up a few items for our trip, including a box of donuts for Dad as he will be missing his morning donut.

Aqua at Lakeshore East is taking shape. Aqua broke ground in the spring of 2007 and it is moving along nicely. Aqua will be an 82 story mixed use building consisting of luxury hotel, apartment units and condos begining on the 53rd floor. Aqua is expected to deliver in 2009. We are thinking to get a place in Aqua!
